Check a report — the public HomeRecon Verified page

What this screen is for. Anyone holding the link — you, your lawyer, the other agent, a lender — can open it with no account and see the two codes that stand for the locked report: the report fingerprint (one code over the whole report as it stood the day the inspector signed off) and the evidence root (one code that stands for every review receipt). If the codes on this page match the codes at the bottom of the report and on the last page of its PDF, you are reading the report the inspector signed off on, unchanged since that day. How to get there. Scan the QR on the last page of the PDF, tap Check this report online at the bottom of the report, or open the link your inspector sent. The address is portal.homerecon.ai/report/verify/REPORT-CODE. What every button does Copy (beside each code) — copies the full 64-character code so you can paste it next to the one in the PDF or an email and compare. The record itself is read-only. It shows the property, the inspecting firm, the day the report was locked and its version, the two codes, Findings personally verified (how many of the report's findings the inspector personally checked), Review receipts, and — only when there is something on them — Ask List on the record (rounds · receipts), Work requests on the record (requests · receipts) and Reading record (sessions · receipts · its own root). How to check this yourself — three steps: compare the codes; ask the inspector for the evidence file; run the free checker (node scripts/verify/verify-evidence.mjs FILE), which recomputes every code from the file and never contacts HomeRecon. Common questions The page says "Nothing to verify". There is no locked, delivered report at that address — a mistyped code, a report that is not yet delivered, or one whose access was turned off all read the same way on purpose, so the page never reveals which. Check the link you were given. Do the codes prove who wrote the report? No. They prove the report has not changed since it was locked, and that every receipt on the record recomputes. The people behind each step are identified the way the product identifies them — a signed-in account, or a confirmed email address on the Ask — and the evidence file says which. Can I download anything here? Not on the public page — the evidence file holds your report's finding fingerprints and receipts, so it comes from the inspector (their inspection page) or from your own portal (the Ask builder and the contractor panel each have Download the evidence file). What does "Anchored to public blockchains" mean? Nothing yet. The line is reserved at the bottom of the record and stays empty until that feature ships; HomeRecon Verified works without it. Good to know A fingerprint shows when something has changed; it does not stop a change from happening. The record is tamper-evident and independently checkable — that is the whole promise. The page reads only counts and codes. No finding text, no names beyond the firm's, no email addresses and no links ever load here. It works with no account, from a phone, in light or dark.
