Subscription — your plan, pausing, and cancelling

What this screen is for. Your own HomeRecon subscription: the one plan, how you pay, pausing and coming back, your card, your payment history, and the guarantee. There's nothing to upgrade to — everything is included; the only choice is how you pay. How to get there. Sidebar → Business → Subscription. (Old bookmarks and the read-only banner's Reactivate land here too.) What every button does FREE · TRIAL · PAID — one word at the top of every screen (the small pill in the header, next to your initials) and again as the headline of the Your plan card, so you always know which kind of account this is. TRIAL means the free trial — the line under it counts your free inspections ("1 of 2 free inspections used"). FREE means a free account — every feature, no card, nothing to pay. PAID means a paid subscription, with your renewal date under it (a card-on-file Stripe trial reads PAID too — the line says "Stripe trial until {date}"). Tapping the header pill brings you here. Your plan — HomeRecon, $299/month (or $2,870/year), "Everything included — reports, booking site, payments, the lot," with an honest status badge (Active · Free trial · Paused · Past due · Cancelled) and, where it applies, "Renews {date}." Subscribe now (trial firms) — the checkout: monthly, or annual at 20% off. No tiers to choose from, ever. Pause subscription — with the whole promise printed under the button: pause anytime — the time you've paid for runs out first, nothing is charged while you're paused, you never lose time you've paid for, and we keep your data safe for a year, ready when you come back. A scheduled pause reads "Paused from {date}. You're paid through then" with Keep my subscription going to change your mind; a paused annual firm sees its remaining paid days "saved for when you're back." Resume subscription — picks up where you left off ("everything is exactly where you left it"). Pay annually — save 20% / Switch to monthly billing — the switch previews the money before anything happens: "You'll be charged $X now," "You'll get $X of credit on your next invoice," or "Nothing is due today," plus your next invoice's date and amount. When the switch bills the same day (Stripe invoices an immediate cadence change), it says so straight: "You'll be charged $X today — your new plan's price minus credit for the time you've already paid." Your card — update the card on file; a failed charge shows a plain banner ("We couldn't charge your card — retrying {date}. Update your card below.") instead of quietly lapsing you. Cancel subscription — takes effect at the period's end; your data is kept safe for a year, and Subscribe again is one tap whenever you're back. Your team & monthly bill — the seat math in one card: your plan, plus "$99/mo each" per extra inspector login, and the total. Your bill updates automatically when your roster changes — your own subscription is never touched. Manage your team › goes to the Team tab. Payment history — real invoices with amounts, dates, and a receipt link per row ("Receipts also arrive by email"). Common questions "How much is HomeRecon, and what's included?" $299 a month, everything included — one plan. Annual is $2,870 a year, 20% off, and it's the only discount that exists. "How do I pause for the slow season?" Pause subscription. Your paid time runs out first, nothing is charged while paused, and every paid day waits for you. Everything you've done stays readable. "What happens to my data if I cancel?" Kept safe for a year — the page shows the date. Reports you delivered stay deliverable to their clients. "What's the guarantee?" Not for you? Full refund in your first 30 days. No questions asked. One guarantee claim per person, ever. "Why did my bill go up $99?" You added an inspector seat — the seat card itemizes it, and removing the seat removes the charge. "Monthly or annual — will switching surprise me?" No — the switch shows the exact money before you confirm, including "Nothing is due today" when that's the truth. Good to know In the phone app, plan changes hand you to homerecon.ai in the browser — store rules, not ours. A rejected action never fakes success: "That didn't go through — your plan is unchanged," and the page re-reads the truth.
